Entered December ye 19th 1723

To all Christian People to whome these Presents Shall Come Greeting Know ye that we Ebenezer and Martha CRANE both of Killingworth in the County of newlondon and Coloney of Conecticut in New England for and in Consideration of the sum of Seventeen Pounds Currant money of the coloney afore s'd to us n hand before the Ensealeing hereof well and truly paid by M'r Abraham PIERSON of the town County and Coloney afore s'd Esq'r the Receipt whereof we do hereby Acknowledg, Have Given, Granted, Bargained, sold, Allienated, Conveyed nd Confirmed and by these presents Do fully freely Clearly and absolutly Give, Grant Bargain sell alien Convey and Confirm unto him y'e s'd Abraham PIERSON and to his heirs and assigns forever these tracts or parcells of Land hereafter mentioned scituate in Killingworth afore s'd one of which tracts or parcells of Land lyeth on the long hill In length Sixty Rods in Breadth thirteen rods and one third part of a Rod as it is Bounded westerly by the Common or highway notherly by the above s'd Ebenezer CRANE's Land Eastwardly by Common Land, southwardly by s'd PIERSON's Land partly, and party by the Common, containing five acres, as also a tract or parcell of Land lying in the Glade or swamp between y'e Roastmeat hill and training plain begining at the south Eastmost corner of s'd Abraham PIERSON's Land lying in the s'd training plain, thence northwardly fifty Rods to an ash tree stoans at the Root thence Eastwardly Eight Rods to a small Blackoak stadle marked stoans by it, thence southwardly fifty rods to a trap stik or dogwood tree marked stoans Cast about it thence westwardly Eight rods to the first mentioned Corner Containing two acres and sixty four rods, as it is Bounded westwardly by s'd PIERSON's Land Every way Elce by y'e Common To Have and To Hold y'e Granted and Bargained premises with all the privilidges appurtenances and Right in common together with y'e Divitian that is already Granted in the loer Bounds of s'd Killingworht, there unto belonging or in any wise apertaining to him the s'd Abraham PIERSON and to his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use benifit and behoof forever and we the s'd Ebenezer and Martha CRANE for our selves our heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant promise and Grant to and with the s'd Abraham PIERSON his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealeing of these presents we are the true sole and Lawfull owners of y'e above Bargained premises and have in our selves Good Right full power and Lawfull authority to sell the same in manner as above s'd and that the s'd Abraham PIERSON his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times for ever here after by force and vertue of these presents Lawfully peaceably and quietly Have Hold use occupie possess and Injoy the s'd Bargained premises with all their appurtenances free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted Exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of former or other, Gifts, Grants, Bargains, Sales or Incumbrances what so ever further more we the s'd Ebenezer and Martha CRANE for our selves our heirs Executors and administrators Do Covenant and Engage the above Demised premises to him the s'd Abraham PIERSON and to his heirs and assigns forever against y'e Lawfull Claims or Demands of any person or persons whatsoever here after to warrant secure and Defend In witness hereof we y'e s'd Ebenezer CRANE and Martha CARNE have here unto set our hands and seales this thirtieth Day of may Anno=Dom'ie seventeen hundred and twenty three and in the ninth year of y'e Rign of our sovereign Lord George King of Great Britain &c
