Deed from Abraham POST to Dr. Charles ACOURT

To all People to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I, Abraham POST of SayBrook in ye County of New London & Colony of Connecticut New England Husbandman for and in Consideration of the sum of two pounds fifteen shillings in Currant Bills of Credit - to me in hand paid by Dr. Charles ACOURT of SayBrook in ye County & Colony aforesaid the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowlege & myself therewith fully satisfied & Contented & do by these presents acquit exonerate & discharge ye s'd Dr. ACOURT his heirs & assign forever by these presents have given, granted bargained & sold conveyed and confirmed & by these presents do freely fully & absolutely give grant bargain sell aliene convey & Confirm unto him ye said Dr. ACOURT one third part of one hundred pounds right in ye Town Commons of SayBrook with all ye Right priviledges & appertainaces to ye same belonging or in any wise appertaining.

To Have & to Hold ye said third part as afores'd of the hundred pound right to him ye said Dr. ACOURT his heirs & assigns forever to his & their only proper use benefit & behoof forever & I ye said Abraham POST for me my heirs executors & administrators Do Covenant promise & grant to and with ye s'd Dr. ACOURT his heirs & assigns that at ye ensealing hereof I am ye true sole & lawfull owner of ye above bargained premises & have in my self good right full power & lawfull authority to grant bargain sell ye same in manner as afores'd and ye said Dr. Charles ACOURT by heirs & assigns shall & may from time to time by force & virtue of these presents peaceably possess & Injoy ye s'd Bargained premises freely & clearly acquitted & discharged from all & all manner of former & other gifts grants bargains sales & all other Incumbrances whatsoever & I ye s'd Abraham POST for myself my heirs & executors Do covenant & Ingage ye above Devised premises to him ye s'd Dr. Charles ACOURT his heirs executors & administrators against ye lawfull claims or demands of any person or persons whatsoever for ever hereafter to Warrant Secure & Defend In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal ye 30th day of Jany in ye Eighth year of his Majesties Reign Annog Domini 1721/2
