[The marriage riage just given is especially interesting because of the fact that it is the first, in order of time, that is recorded as having occurred at "Plymouth meeting-house." It will be noticed that previous marriages were, as a rule, at "Plymouth meeting" or at "Plymouth meetingpiace." It is probable that the Dawes-Cassel wedding was the first ever celebrated in Plymouth meeting-house, and that it had not been very long completed at the time mentioned, 1709.]
